Job summary

Megasol-Technologies is seeking a Java Developer to join our development team that builds and evolves our core banking platform in Scandinavia. You will own features through the full development lifecycle, from refinement to production-ready release, ensuring robust and maintainable solutions.

The role blends independent problem solving with collaborative design, code reviews, and production integration, with the team tackling complex systems and dependencies across components.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional experience in Java.
• Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Fluent in Swedish, written and spoken.
• Experience with Spring Framework is a bonus.
• SQL knowledge; Kotlin and Angular front-end experience.
• Interest in distributed systems and messaging (e.g. NATS).

About the role

As a Java Developer at Megasol, you will join our development team responsible for building and evolving our core banking platform.
You will work in a product-driven and customer focused environment where development starts with real business needs and ends with production-ready solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of features throughout the entire development lifecycle, from refinement and design, through implementation, code reviews, testing support and release. While dedicated test engineers support validation, you are expected to ensure that what you build is robust, well-structured and maintainable from start.

The work is a mix of independent problem solving and collaborative development where you will engage with other developers to solve complex problems or design larger system changes but also work independently on well defined tasks.

Because the system is large and highly interconnected, changes often have dependencies across multiple components. This makes careful design, attention to detail and strong communication essential. You will not only be responsible for writing code, but also for understanding how your changes affect the wider system and ensuring smooth integration into production.
