Job summary

Billerud is seeking an IT Sourcing and Vendor Manager to strengthen Global IT Procurement. You will drive strategic sourcing, vendor governance, and contract management across IT categories as part of a major SAP S/4HANA transformation affecting mills and business areas.

You will report to the Head of Global IT Procurement. The role requires experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and IT contracting.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management within IT.
• Experience with supplier governance and commercial IT agreements.
• Proven ability to conduct supplier negotiations and manage IT contracts.
• Fluency in English; Swedish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for one or more IT categories including spend and risk analysis.
• Develop and drive sourcing strategies, RFIs, RFPs, negotiations and framework agreements.
• Collaborate with Global IT to optimize vendor solutions and manage contracts.
• Lead supplier governance and ensure effective vendor relationships and performance tracking.
• Manage contract renewals and ensure documentation and processes compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing and vendor management.
• Monitor performance and report trends to stakeholders.

As part of Billerud's continued development, we are looking for an IT Sourcing and Vendor Manager to strengthen our Global IT Procurement team. In this role, you will drive strategic sourcing and vendor management activities across Global IT and support the organization in optimizing supplier performance, managing contracts, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

About the Role

As IT Sourcing and Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for strategic procurement and vendor management activities within defined IT categories. You will work closely with stakeholders across Global IT and other parts of the business to ensure effective sourcing strategies, supplier governance, and commercial agreements that support business needs.

The role combines category management, procurement, contract management, vendor governance, and continuous improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing commercial, operational, and stakeholder-related aspects of procurement.

You will also play an important role in Billerud’s ongoing large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation, affecting all mills and most business areas, by securing commercially sound supplier agreements, effective vendor governance, and sourcing support for solutions and services.

Your Main Tasks Will Be

• Take commercial responsibility for one or more IT categories, including spend, market, supplier, and risk analysis.
• Develop and drive sourcing strategies, RFI/RFP processes, procurement activities, negotiations, and framework agreements.
• Collaborate with Global IT stakeholders to optimize vendor solutions, manage contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead supplier governance activities and ensure effective vendor relationships, performance follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Manage contract renewals, maintain contract-related documentation and data, and ensure compliance with agreed processes.
• Drive and follow up on continuous improvement initiatives within sourcing and vendor management.
• Monitor performance, report key metrics and trends, and provide advice and support to stakeholders.

You report to: Head of Global IT Procurement.

The role is located in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden, and includes some travel within Europe and North America (approximately 5-10%).

Qualifications

• University degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• Good understanding of business needs and category management.
• Experience of strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or related commercial IT roles.
• Experience implementing vendor management principles and supplier governance.
• Experience in preparing and conducting supplier negotiations.
• Good knowledge of IT contracting and commercial IT agreements.
• Experience working with procurement systems and IT-related sourcing.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is considered an advantage.
• Experience from manufacturing and knowledge of process manufacturing is considered an advantage.

ITIL Foundation, project management certifications such as Prince2 Foundation, and information security-related certifications such as ISC2 are considered an advantage but are not required.

Note: You need to have a permanent Swedish work permit to be considered for this position.
