Job summary

Viaplay Group in Stockholm is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join our internal IT team. You will lead and support Microsoft 365, cloud & security across hybrid infrastructure, working with our outsourced IT provider and SOC.

This hands-on role focuses on security, identity management, and continuous improvement using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph. You will collaborate across IT to design, implement and govern our hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Experience across hybrid Microsoft environments including Azure and AD.
• Experience with outsourced IT and collaborating with service providers.

The Role

We are looking for an IT Operations Engineer – Microsoft 365, Cloud & Security to join our internal IT team, providing technical expertise across our Microsoft 365, cloud, security and hybrid infrastructure environments.

We operate a hybrid, partner-led IT model, working closely with our outsourced IT provider and SOC while retaining internal technical ownership, governance, and oversight. This is a hands-on role, working with our partners to investigate issues, develop solutions, review configurations, and deliver technical improvements across cloud and on-premises services.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead and contributor to IT change and modernisation initiatives, ensuring solutions are secure, supportable and appropriately governed

• Provide technical expertise and internal technical ownership across Microsoft 365 and its security capabilities, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender and Purview

• Support the design and evolution of our hybrid IT environment, spanning Azure, Active Directory, servers, networking and connectivity, working in partnership with our outsourced IT provider

• Design and improve identity and access controls, including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, RBAC, and identity governance

• Provide technical oversight of security operations and complex technical issues, working with our SOC and IT partners to investigate incidents, resolve problems, remediate issues, and perform root cause analysis.

• Drive continuous improvement, automation and technical governance, using technologies such as PowerShell and Microsoft Graph, reviewing supplier proposals and recommendations, and maintaining appropriate technical documentation and standards.

What we’re looking for

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Exchange Online

• Experience working across hybrid Microsoft environments, spanning Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, networking, endpoints and cloud infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of identity, authentication and access management across Entra ID and Active Directory

• Experience working within an outsourced IT model, providing technical oversight, and working collaboratively with service providers

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across Microsoft 365, cloud, identity, infrastructure and on-premises technologies.
