Job summary

SSC Space seeks an IT Asset & Configuration Management Specialist to govern CMDB and IT asset lifecycles in a global space-tech environment. You will own CMDB structure, data governance, integrations, and support ITSM processes with reliable data.

You will collaborate with IT and business units, ensuring compliance and security while delivering actionable insights. The role involves design, analysis, and documentation across the enterprise IT landscape.

Qualifications

• University degree in technology/IT or equivalent experience.
• Strong CMDB, asset management, and ITSM knowledge.
• Experience designing schemas, CIs, integrations, and data mapping.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern CMDB structures to reflect services, relationships and dependencies.
• Establish asset and configuration data governance with IT and business units.
• Create reliable integrations between CMDB, asset sources and enterprise systems.
• Support ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) with accurate data.
• Monitor data quality with KPIs and reporting; improve asset lifecycle processes.
• Provide documentation and training; ensure security and compliance alignment.

Requirements

You are comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can communicate well in both Swedish and English. Required Skills

• We believe that you haveauniversity degreeintechnology and IT orequivalent knowledge gained throughworkexperience.
• Strong expertise in CMDB, hardware/software asset management, and IT Service Management.
• High proficiency in designing and working with schemas, configuration items (CI), integrations, data discovery and relationship mapping between systems.
• Practical experience working within the ITIL framework.
• Training, support, and stakeholder collaboration

Beneficial Skills

• System or application administration, specifically Atlassian with Jira Service Management and Assets
• Besides ITIL, it is an advantage if you have experience with other IT and cybersecurity frameworks and have worked in regulated or security-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

As our IT Asset & Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and governing our IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration (CMDB) capabilities in a global space-tech environment.

Your work will ensure accurate, reliable, and actionable asset and configuration data to support better service delivery, compliance, and decision-making.

You will design, introduce, and support solutions with system owner responsibility for IT asset lifecycle management, CMDB structure, and governance. This role combines strategic thinking and operational expertise, turning ideas into solutions that work in practice.

MainTasks

As the specialist and system owner of our CMDB platform, you will:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the CMDB structure to create a trusted source of truth that accurately reflects IT services, relationships, and dependencies.
• Establish governance frameworks and ways of working for asset and configuration data together with IT and other business units.
• create and maintain reliable integrations between the CMDB, asset data sources, and enterprise systems.
• support ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) with reliable and actionable data.
• monitor and improve data quality through KPIs and reporting.
• improve IT asset lifecycle processes.
• provide documentation and training to stakeholders.
• ensure alignment with security and compliance requirements.
• participate inor lead IT projects related to the area.
