Description du poste

As an Investment Associate at H&M Group's New Growth & Ventures, you will help identify, evaluate, and support investments in the companies shaping the future of fashion and customer experience. You will work across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and due diligence to portfolio support, combining rigorous financial analysis with an outward-facing, relationship-driven approach.

This role has two equally important sides. Out in the ecosystem, you will have a visible and active presence at startup events, industry meetups and gatherings across the world, building relationships with founders and investors and turning new connections into promising leads. At your desk, you will dig into company financials, analyze market trends, build models, and turn complex information into clear investment recommendations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Analyze company financials, business models, and unit economics to assess investment opportunities
  • Build financial models and valuations, and support due diligence processes through reviewing and analyzing investment documentation and agreements
  • Prepare investment recommendations, business cases, and presentations for investment committee meetings
  • Represent New Growth & Ventures at startup events, conferences and industry gatherings both in Sweden and globally
  • Build and maintain a strong network of founders, investors, accelerators, and industry stakeholders
  • Proactively source new investment opportunities and manage a pipeline of leads
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior that may impact H&M Group and the broader industry
  • Support portfolio companies through strategic analysis, performance monitoring, and stakeholder collaboration
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be part of H&M Group's New Growth & Ventures team, working closely with investment professionals as well as portfolio company founders and leadership teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders across H&M Group and engage regularly with venture capital firms, entrepreneurs, advisors, and other external partners. The role offers broad exposure to both strategic initiatives and the wider innovation ecosystem, giving you a unique opportunity to build a strong network across industries and markets.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a curious, social, analytical, and commercially minded professional with a genuine passion for investing, innovation, and entrepreneurship. You are just as comfortable working through a set of financial statements as you are walking into a room full of new people. You enjoy meeting founders, starting conversations, and following up on them, and you see every event as a chance to discover the next great company to invest in.

You are a proactive self-starter who builds trust through collaboration and clear communication. You balance attention to detail with a broader strategic perspective, and you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the growth of both our portfolio companies and H&M Group's future ambitions.

You will succeed in this role if you have:
  • A degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field
  • 2+years of experience from venture capital, private equity, investment banking, transaction services, management consulting, or a similar analytical role
  • Solid experience in financial analysis, including modeling and valuation
  • Experience conducting market research, commercial assessments, and due diligence
  • A natural ability to network, build relationships, and generate new leads
  • Energy and enthusiasm for representing the team at external events, including meetups and gatherings across the world
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities at the same time
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
