Job summary

Gemkom Engineering & Machinery Filial seeks diligent Maintenance Technicians to preserve and protect mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. The role covers protection of exposed machinery, corrosion control with VCI treatments, and regular mechanical maintenance on equipment stored outdoors.

Candidates need at least 1 year in mechanical maintenance, vocational training in Mechanical Maintenance, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial preservation.
• Vocational training or certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with mechanical machine elements & assemblies; knowledge about specialized greases and surface corrosion protection applications.
• Physically capable of working at heights.
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to preventing equipment damage; knowledge about periodical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Environmental protection: protect exposed machinery from weather and humidity.
• Corrosion control: apply VCI treatments and surface protection to machined parts and sensitive surfaces.
• Mechanical maintenance: grease bearings and perform periodic shaft rotations to prevent degradation.
• Climate management: monitor and implement heating solutions for machinery components as required by specs.
• Inventory & documentation: keep records of preservation activities and maintenance cycles.
