Job summary

Assessio is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to provide hands-on legal support across commercial agreements, privacy and technology matters, and to collaborate with product, engineering and sales teams.

This in-house role offers independence, broad exposure across European markets, and opportunities to shape templates and processes while growing into greater ownership over time.

Qualifications

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience with B2B technology, SaaS or other technology-related commercial agreements.
• Practical experience with GDPR and data privacy matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS, DPAs, enterprise customer and partner agreements.
• Negotiate with Sales and Customer Success and handle contract discussions and escalations.
• Support tenders, public procurements and RFP processes.
• Advise on GDPR, data privacy, regulatory matters including EU AI Act and cross-border transfers.
• Work with Product and Engineering on legal questions related to AI and privacy-by-design.
• Identify legal risks and provide actionable recommendations for the business.
• Collaborate with DPO and external counsel when specialist expertise is needed.
• Contribute to M&A due diligence and other corporate matters when relevant.
