Job summary

Clavister is seeking a Product Owner to lead a cross-functional Java team responsible for authentication, identity management and digital signing. You will work with the Product Manager to translate vision into actionable backlog and delivery.

You will mentor engineers, balance delivery with security and privacy, and collaborate across Product, Technology and Security to ship secure, maintainable IAM products within a European cybersecurity company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing commercial product software teams.
• Experience with product ownership, backlog management and agile delivery.
• Hands-on background in software engineering or architecture.
• Ability to engage confidently with Java developers and IAM domain stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers on discovery, priorities and roadmap development.
• Familiarity with IAM concepts such as authentication, identity and signing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a cross-functional Java product team, with responsibility for people leadership and delivery practices.
• Actively contribute customer, delivery and team perspectives to the product vision and roadmap owned by the Product Manager.
• Own and prioritise the team backlog in line with the agreed product direction, customer needs, security requirements and capacity.
• Translate roadmap objectives into clear outcomes, requirements and acceptance criteria for authentication, identity and signing products.
• Work with Java engineers, architects and IAM domain stakeholders on system design, APIs, integrations and evolution.
• Balance new capabilities and technical debt with cybersecurity, privacy, trust, quality, usability, scalability and maintainability.
• Drive delivery from refinement and planning through development, automated testing and operational follow-up.
• Promote modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, observability, code review and test automation.
• Recruit, coach and mentor team members, creating an environment of trust and learning.
• Coordinate dependencies, risks and expectations across Product, Technology, Architecture, Security and other stakeholders.
