Job summary

Saab is seeking a versatile Software Developer and Data Scientist to bridge software engineering and data science, hybrid in Sweden. You will build Python-based backends, craft AI/ML models, and manage ETL with Airflow to extract insights from aircraft operation data.

Expect scalable solutions and modern dashboards powered by Plotly. You will design RESTful APIs with FastAPI/Flask, use Docker/Kubernetes for deployment, and contribute to predictive maintenance and demand forecasting across

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience with Python including Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow / Keras and related packages.
• Experience with data warehousing and data reliability/observability tools.
• Knowledge in AI/ML engineering, anomaly detection, and deployment of LLM-based systems.
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Flask, or similar.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestration (Airflow).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Implement advanced AI/ML models including LLM orchestration and prompt engineering.
• Build end-to-end ETL pipelines and manage both batch and real-time data flows with Airflow.
• Model equipment behavior and degradation for predictive maintenance and demand forecasting.
• Create dashboards and visualizations using Plotly for clear data insights.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker/Kubernetes and uphold CI/CD pipelines.
