Job summary

DeLaval is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer in a hybrid role based at our Tumba site. The candidate will secure quality from start in product projects and changes, working closely with Sourcing, Product Management and Development to support supplier part approvals and introductions.

The role emphasizes implementing quality tools, robust control plans, and preventive actions across suppliers to prevent issues and mitigate risks. Travel to suppliers is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent).
• Knowledge of quality methods and tools: PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why, A3, CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Address quality risks early in development using quality tools across new projects and development initiatives.
• Plan supplier readiness for SOP with focus on PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PDCA.
• Investigate supplier quality issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Conduct process audits and follow up on audit findings as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the Quality Management System.
