Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Ludvika is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for HVDC Service to tackle mechanical design challenges in plant deliveries, from capture teams to project delivery and customer take-over. You will work on calculations and drawings for HVDC converter stations, and support refurbishment projects.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, strong NX/3D-CAD skills, and CAD/FEM experience. Fluent Swedish and English are essential to collaborate with global teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in 3D-CAD (NX) and CAD/FEM tools.
• Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical aspects for HVDC converter stations.
• Perform site surveys, 3D scans, and assist with installations.
• Prepare drawings, calculations and documentation for project delivery and refurbishment.
