Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Ludvika, Sweden is seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer with HVDC experience to lead main circuit equipment projects. You will drive design, procurement, installation and commissioning, coordinating with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers to achieve milestones.

You will ensure safety, quality and environmental standards, and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or Applied Physics.
• A few years of engineering experience, preferably in HVDC or power transmission.
• Ability to communicate in an international environment.
• Fluent English; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering scope of HVDC projects, including design, procurement, installation, commissioning and standardization.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams including main circuit design, plant design, supply chain management and project management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical requirements and project milestones.
• Review and approve technical requirements, including requirement specifications, supplier documentations, and interface specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE) and customer specifications.
