Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Ludvika invites a Conceptual Design Engineer to lead IT/OT solution definition for HVDC Control & Protection during the basic conceptual design phase. You will work with customers and partners to ensure compliant, efficient, and innovative designs.

The role requires 5+ years in SCADA and cyber security, plus strong collaboration, planning, and communication skills. English fluency is required; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in SCADA and cyber security.
• Experience in projects and bid, customer meetings and technical negotiations.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and HMI/SCADA design and SCADA architecture.
• Technical experience in IT infrastructure (routers, firewalls, switches, servers, workstations).

Responsibilities

• Technically define IT/OT solutions in the basic conceptual design phase.
• Collaborate with customers/partners to ensure delivery meets requirements and standards.
• Network and collaborate with other engineering functions to share best practices across tenders and projects.
• Be proactive in finding solutions and improving processes.
• Learn from others and apply new experiences with a mindset of continuous improvement.
