Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Piteå is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join the Composites team. The role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, supports sustainability initiatives, and drives ISO14001 implementation.

You will monitor permits, liaise with authorities, coordinate data reporting, oversee chemical management, and help advance waste reduction and resource efficiency across operations. Fluency in Swedish and English is required.

Qualifications

• University education in environmental studies or equivalent experience.
• Experience with environmental compliance, ISO standards, sustainability, hazardous waste and chemicals.
• Experience driving and coordinating environmental processes.
• Good understanding of incident management, risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to coach, train and support managers and employees in environmental matters.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
