Job summary

Tata Technologies, Gothenburg-based, seeks an HIL Test Development Engineer to advance hardware-in-the-loop test environments. Lead CAPL-based development, simulations, and automation across CI/CD workflows to ensure robust vehicle and ECU testing.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s/master’s in Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering/Physics with 5+ years in automotive testing or HIL environments and strong CAPL/CANoe experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive testing, HIL environments, or test automation development.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks and reusable test enablers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CAPL-based test enablers, simulation components, and automation frameworks.
• Design and implement network simulations, gateways, diagnostic services, and signal manipulation using CANoe and CAPL.
• Create reusable test libraries and test infrastructure to improve automation coverage and test efficiency.
• Support integration of automated test solutions into CI/CD and verification workflows.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into automated test solutions and simulation logic.
• Collaborate with HIL engineers to ensure test environments reflect vehicle and ECU behavior.
• Support commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting of HIL test setups.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to simulations, communication networks, and automated test execution.

What You'll Do

What You Bring
