ALTEN is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Engineer in Örebro, Sweden. You will design, analyze, and maintain HV systems including substations, transmission lines, and industrial applications, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance.

The role collaborates with diverse teams on challenging energy projects. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and 2–3 years HV experience, with tool proficiency (ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD, AutoCAD, Revit) and knowledge of IEC/IEEE/ Swedish

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in high-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD, AutoCAD or Revit.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ANSI and Swedish standards.
• Certifications (e.g., PE license, NFPA 70E) are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design high-voltage wiring diagrams for substations, switchgear, and transmission lines.
• Perform cable and conductor sizing for high-power applications (e.g., overhead lines, underground cables, or busbars).
• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash studies using simulation tools like ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or PSCAD.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., IEC 61936, OSHA, or local high-voltage standards).
• Specify high-voltage components (e.g., transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and surge arresters).
• Collaborate with stakeholders for project approval and commissioning.
