Job summary

Axis Communications AB is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Intercom Hardware team in Lund. You will lead a skilled group of electronics and mechanical engineers, shaping long‑term hardware strategies and collaborating across disciplines to deliver competitive intercom products.

You will partner with 2N and the Axis group to leverage shared expertise and drive end‑to‑end development. You will stay close to technology, empower the team to perform, and ensure successful product development

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering required.
• proven track record as a hardware engineering manager or team lead.
• Experience developing hardware products across full lifecycle.
• Ability to collaborate across electronics, mechanical, software and QA teams.
• Proactive, results-oriented and able to drive design decisions.
• Fluent English is required; good Swedish skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Shape long‑term hardware strategies and roadmaps for 3–5 years.
• Lead, coach and develop your team to achieve high performance.
• Recruit and build team capability and growth.
• Drive hardware development from concept through verification, industrialization and volume production.
• Prioritize with Project Managers and other stakeholders and address constraints.
• Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration with electronics, mechanics, software, QA and operations.
• Manage budget and investment for the team and development environment.
• Contribute to the Intercom Solutions leadership team.
