Job summary

X Shore is rebuilding operations and product development; we are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to build and maintain the software that runs on our electric boats—the control units, the onboard gateway, and the CAN networks that decide how a boat starts, drives, charges, and reports back from the water.

You will write the code, test on target hardware, and prove that it works on a bench, test rig, and on a boat.

Qualifications

• Solid programming in C for embedded targets.
• Proficient in Python for tooling and test automation.
• Hands-on with CAN bus and embedded hardware bring-up.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded C code for onboard control units.
• Build CAN networks and ensure reliable NMEA 2000 traffic.
• Test code on target hardware and on boats.
• Maintain build, flashing, and provisioning tooling for reproducible releases.
• Create and own interface documentation for systems.
