Job summary

SAS - Scandinavian Airlines is seeking a Group Financial Controller to steer group accounting and drive improvements in financial reporting in Stockholm. The role is based in Frösundavik, Solna, with onsite work and potential remote option depending on agreement.

You will join Group Accounting and collaborate with leadership and other specialists, influencing structures, processes, and ways of working. The ideal candidate has IFRS knowledge and a proactive, analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in qualified accounting or auditing.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Solid understanding of group accounting and IFRS.
• Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
• Experience with the consolidation system Tagetik is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participating in group closing and financial reporting.
• Analyzing and ensuring the quality of financial information.

Group Financial Controller

Challenges You Will Work On

You will be part of Group Accounting and work closely with the business, leadership, and other specialist functions. The role offers both operational responsibility and the opportunity to influence structures, processes, and ways of working.

What You Will Do

• Participating in group closing and financial reporting
• Analyzing and ensuring the quality of financial information
• Responsible for accounting related to one of the parent/shareholder companies
• Driving improvements in processes
• Contributing to the efficiency and automation of accounting flows

To be successful we believe you have

• Has 3–7 years of experience in qualified accounting or auditing
• Holds a university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Has a solid understanding of group accounting and IFRS
• Is fluent in both Swedish and English (spoken and written)
• Experience with the consolidation system Tagetik is an advantage

Additional information

• Deadline for application: 03/08/2026. Please note that, due to the vacation period, we will begin the selection process once the application period has ended.
• Desired start date: As soon as possible
• Position: Fulltime (100%) starting with a 6-month probation period
• This position is based in Frösundavik, Solna (Stockholm), and you will be expected to work onsite. Remote work may also be an option, depending on the agreement made with your manager.
