Job summary

ESAB Corporation, located in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks a Global Project Manager for Global Filler Metals. This senior role combines strategic vision with rigorous delivery discipline, leading complex, high‑value projects across multiple geographies, business units, and time zones.

Responsibilities include establishing the global project management framework, defining milestones and KPIs, and ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery while engaging executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field.
• Experience leading global, cross‑functional initiatives at a senior leadership level.
• Experience in complex matrix-based industrial or manufacturing organizations.
• Strong executive communication and change leadership capabilities.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a merit.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own the global project management framework across Global Filler Metals.
• Define portfolio prioritization, stage gates, milestone reviews, escalation paths, and KPIs.
• Ensure clear accountability across GPM, R&D, sourcing, operations, and regional teams.
• Provide leadership to ensure on‑time delivery of cross‑functional initiatives.
• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, and benefits realization.
• Define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and risks across global workstreams.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestone schedules, and critical path analyses.
