Job summary

Rambøll Sweden AB is seeking a Project Director – Major Projects to lead the design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure assignments. You will collaborate with service lines and the PMD team to shape governance, delivery standards, and the department's culture.

You will inspire multidisciplinary teams, manage cross-border programs, and drive strategic decisions that ensure value, sustainability, and successful handover to clients.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in civil engineering or equivalent project delivery experience.
• Experience leading design for large infrastructure projects with delivery accountability.
• Deep understanding of regulatory, technical, and operational challenges in major infrastructure projects.
• Proven design governance and interface management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; English fluent.
• Strategic mindset with strong business acumen for complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute delivery strategies for mega and large infrastructure projects.
• Provide project leadership across PM, design, and commercial from planning to delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Build long-term client and partner relationships as Rambøll's preferred partner.
• Lead major pursuits including bid strategy, budgeting, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with international colleagues on cross-border projects.
• Contribute to PMD capabilities and ways of working.
