Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a Global Engineering Manager - HVDC Control & Protection to lead the global engineering operations for C&P systems within Hitachi Energy's HVDC business. You will drive technical excellence, define system architecture strategy, and manage international engineering teams delivering advanced control hardware and software for large-scale grid interconnections.

In this role you will ensure on-time delivery, quality, and safety while aligning with project execution

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in electronics/control engineering
• 10+ years in a functional or line management role within HVDC or large-scale power systems
• Deep knowledge of HVDC control systems, digital protection algorithms, power electronics interfaces

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of engineers across electronics, hardware, and software focused on HVDC Control & Protection systems.
• Oversee design, testing, commissioning, and lifecycle management of control hardware/software solutions for HVDC projects.
• Align engineering deliverables with global project execution teams to ensure quality, safety, budgeting, and on-time delivery.
