Job summary

Apica, a global software company focused on observability, seeks a Finance Business Controller to take ownership and drive scalable finance processes across Sweden, the US, and India. You will automate, structure, and deliver insights beyond numbers, collaborating with Sales, Product & Tech, and Operations.

The role emphasizes data quality, strong controls, and value-adding analytics, with AI tools like Claude Cowork to accelerate results.

Qualifications

Finance degree with 3–5 years of controlling experience.
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) and with gross profit and product profitability models.
Experience with subscription/ARR-based reporting.
Experience in an international business environment.
Solid understanding of AI technologies and their application to finance.
Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools; believes systems enable improvement.
Proactive, ownership-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative across geographies.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership across Sales, Product & Tech, and Operations to deliver actionable insights.
Analyze ARR, revenue recognition, and data quality; oversee Order-to-Cash.
Own Maxio ARR and customer contract reporting.
Support Sales with renewals, quotes, and pipeline analytics.
Collaborate with Operations to optimize cloud environments for margins.
Own product profitability calculations and COGS model.
Prepare monthly Board and investor decks with the CFO.
Lead annual budgets and rolling 12-month forecasts.
