EDAG Group in Sweden seeks a Functional Safety Engineer to join the Hybrid Propulsion & Installation team. You will work with system architects, software and hardware engineers, suppliers, and safety experts to ensure vehicle systems meet highest safety standards according to ISO 26262.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in automotive, embedded systems, or product development.
• Understanding of system, software, hardware, or electronics development processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Drive and support Functional Safety activities according to ISO 26262.
• Participate in Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA).
• Develop and support Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
• Perform and review safety analyses including FMEA, FTA, DFA, and related methodologies.
• Define, review, and verify safety requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure safety compliance.
• Participate in technical reviews, audits, and safety assessments.
• Support root cause investigations from a Functional Safety perspective.
• Promote a strong safety culture across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
