Karlstad University is looking for a Doctoral student to join the Division of Energy Technology in Gothenburg. The position focuses on developing a new thermal imaging system to improve biomass conversion efficiency in power plants, integrating advanced modeling and experimentation.

The role includes designing experiments, collaborating with industrial partners, and teaching undergraduate courses. The position offers a fixed-term appointment of four years, fully funded with a starting salary of 35,725 SEK per month.

Qualifications

• Must have a master's level degree corresponding to at least 240 higher education (ECTS) credits.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and analyze experiments.
• Conduct modeling and develop tools using CFD, Matlab, and Python.
• Take courses at an advanced level within the Graduate school.
• Collaborate with industrial partners and other researchers.
• Communicate results through scientific conferences and journals.
