Qualifications

• Frontend developer with 2–4 years of experience.

Job description

We're hiring a Frontend Engineer who wants the person seeing their UI to be a homeowner checking tomorrow's electricity bill, not a VC reading a pitch deck.

Elvy helps Swedish households produce, store and use their own renewable energy. Solar, batteries, heat pumps and electricity retail, all from one partner. Our frontends are the customer app, the installer tablet interface, and the internal tools that our sales and ops teams live in every day.

What you'll do

• Ship interfaces that a 55-year-old in Dalarna can use without calling support.
• Build components and flows for the customer app, the installer PWA, and internal tools.
• Own the whole frontend experience: performance, accessibility, animations that aren't showy but feel right.
• Pair with design and product to kill features that don't help the user before they ship.

Who you are

Strong on React and TypeScript. You care about bundle size, render behaviour, and state patterns that don't age badly.

Design-collaborative. You push back on a design that'll confuse a non-technical user. You also know when the design is right and you're wrong.

Production-minded. Error boundaries, loading states, offline handling. The boring stuff that makes customers trust the product.

Accessibility-aware. WCAG isn't a checkbox for you, it's the default.

Current stack:

Frontend: React app in JS/TS, built on Panda CSS (sadly) and TanStack, deployed on Vercel.

Backend: FastAPI in Python, containerized with Docker and deployed on GCP.
