Job summary

Siemens Energy in Finspång is seeking a Rotor Dynamics Engineer to advance gas turbines, heat pumps and steam turbine applications. You will analyze rotor dynamics, contribute to design maturity, and support testing and field performance.

We value a Master’s or PhD in mechanical/aerospace engineering or physics, strong dynamics knowledge, and experience with Abaqus/Simcenter/MATLAB/Python. English proficiency is required; Swedish is a plus, and collaboration across disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, engineering physics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of structural dynamics.
• Experience in rotor dynamics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate rotor and stator structures for robust, efficient turbomachinery using in-house and commercial software.
• Contribute through the engine development process from concept to testing and product support.
• Drive innovation and technology development in rotor and structural dynamics.
• Build a global network across Europe, North America, and Asia in collaboration across disciplines.
