Together with Monterro we are now looking for a Finance Specialist who wants to work close to Monterro’s CFO while also supporting CFOs across our portfolio companies. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strong accounting expertise with exposure to a fast‑paced Private Equity environment and high‑growth software companies.

The position provides broad exposure, close collaboration with senior stakeholders, and the chance to contribute to developing finance structures in growing organizations.
This is an ideal role for someone with a solid accounting background who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and wants to move beyond traditional accounting into a more business‑oriented and impactful finance role. Based in Monterro’s fantastic office in central Stockholm, you will become part of a highly experienced investment platform focused on building the next generation of Nordic software leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting in TopCo/MidCo during platform investments; hand over to company CFO.
  • Assist with initial consolidation of TopCo/MidCo and OpCo.
  • Review PortCo balance sheets for quarterly revaluations and reports.
  • Manage year‑end dialogues with Portfolio Companies auditors on valuations and balance sheet assets.
  • Ensure alignment of Portfolio Companies annual reports with Untap reporting.
  • Support annual fund reports, including IFRS compliance.
  • Assist CFOs in the Portfolio Companies with accounting practices for add‑on acquisitions.
  • Prepare purchase price allocation (PPA) with the M&A team for proper asset treatment.
  • Ensure legal handover on non‑standard SPA items for appropriate accounting.
  • Support CFOs Portfolio Companies in transfer pricing documentation and annual updates to Monterro files.
  • Provide general support for complex accounting and tax inquiries.

Profile description:

  • Finance Leadership: Experience in a leading finance role at a listed company, ideally as Head of Finance (group accounting) or similar.
  • Operational Background: Experience in a private equity firm or a company with a complex legal structure across multiple geographies.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting rules and principles, including IFRS.
  • M&A Experience: Solid experience in M&A from an accounting/audit perspective.
  • Transfer Pricing: Strong understanding of transfer pricing requirements.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Good grasp of complex intercompany transactions and documentation best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communicator with a commitment to building knowledge‑sharing structures and supporting others.
