Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB – Components is seeking a Factory Supply Chain Specialist in Ludvika, Sweden. You will drive SCM activities for a defined material portfolio with emphasis on availability, quality and cost, while supporting the Factory Supply Chain Manager to streamline daily operations.

The role requires an engineering degree and strong collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI and SAP is advantageous, with Swedish and English language

Position: Factory Supply Chain Specialist

Responsibilities
  • Drive all SCM activities for the appointed portfolio of material with a main focus on material availability, quality, and cost.
  • Support the Factory Supply Chain Manager by streamlining daily operations and alleviating workload through proactive collaboration and efficient task management.
  • Define and implement local sourcing strategies aligned with regional goals.
  • Develop and maintain the supply base, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and drive improvement projects as needed.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with category teams and quality specialists.
  • Establish and update agreements with major suppliers, including pricing and purchase terms to meet business directives.
Qualifications
  • Curious, driven, and adaptable with strong ownership and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills; ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams and suppliers.
  • Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI) and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and proficiency in English is required.
