Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB – Ludvika site is seeking a proactive Factory Supply Chain Specialist to coordinate sourcing activities and drive supplier collaborations. You will partner with design, sales, production, services, and purchasing to optimize material availability, quality and cost while upholding regional sourcing goals.

The role requires an engineering background with SAP and MS Office proficiency, and fluency in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• Define and implement local sourcing strategies aligned with regional goals.
• Develop and maintain supplier base with emphasis on quality, delivery and cost.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and lead improvement projects as needed.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers with category teams and quality specialists.

You'll play an essential part in driving and coordinating strategic sourcing activities, working closely with stakeholders to uncover cost‑efficient and reliable solutions and setups. How you'll make an impact

• To drive all SCM activities for the appointed portfolio of material. With the main focus on material availability, quality and cost.
• Support the Factory Supply Chain Manager by streamlining daily operations and alleviating workload through proactive collaboration and efficient task management.
• Define and implement local sourcing strategies in alignment with regional goals.
• Develop and maintain the supply base, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and drive improvement projects as needed.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with category teams and quality specialists.
• Establish and update agreements with major suppliers, including pricing and purchase terms, to meet business directives.

Your background

• A degree in Engineering is preferred. Experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS tools like Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
• Good knowledge in Swedish and proficiency in English is required.
