Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for the Wheel Loader and Articulated Hauler Electrical System team in Eskilstuna. You will tackle electrical harness design, schematics, and integration of radar and EMC technologies on our machines.

The role requires an engineering degree and strong teamwork, with English as a working language. You will contribute to a climate-neutral construction solution provider and join a globally leading industrial company.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Product design or similar.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will face problem solving challenges that will test both your technical knowledge and your teamwork skills. Your soft skills and your drive are important. You are a very strong team player with high ability to focus and see the complete system.

You will work with a wide range of electrical engineering challenges, from harness design to more advanced technologies such as radar systems and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Your responsibilities will include defining requirements for electrical components in collaboration with suppliers, developing electrical schematics, and designing wiring harnesses. You will also have the opportunity to test and validate your solutions directly on our machines.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role we believe that you have an engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Product design or similar.
