Job summary

Vattenfall in Stockholm invites applications for a Junior Environmental Products Analyst | Trading Analyst to join the Trading Analysis department. You will conduct fundamental and quantitative analysis to support traders and help develop trading strategies for environmental products.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in a quantitative field, have experience in environmental product market analysis, and possess programming skills (Python).

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in quantitative field (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics).
  • Experience in market analysis of environmental products in commercial or trading environments.
  • Experience with fundamental and quantitative models for environmental product markets and policy analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental and quantitative analysis to support traders and trading strategies for environmental products (GOs, CER, VER, CDR, offsets).
  • Track market and policy developments; identify key drivers and regime shifts; develop price views and sensitivity analyses for traders.
  • Develop and refine market modelling and policy analysis with supporting functions.
  • Run and enhance position management and optimization tools for environmental products to support trading decisions.
  • Support trading business development and origination activities related to environmental products.
  • Automate routines and data handling for analysis and portfolio information.
  • Educate traders in relevant environment products and policy topics.
