Job summary

Talent Hired is seeking an experienced EHS Lead to own Environmental, Health & Safety activities across a major Denmark-based infrastructure project. You will partner with project leadership, construction teams and subcontractors to drive a pro-active safety culture and ensure compliance across the full lifecycle.

You will review RAMS and risk assessments, develop site EHS strategies, manage EHS resources, conduct audits and investigations, and report on leading and lagging indicators.

Qualifications

• 6+ years on large scale construction/infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading site-wide EHS programs
• Knowledge of safety legislation

Job description

This is an opportunity to join a major infrastructure project in Denmark as EHS Lead, taking ownership of all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project leadership, construction teams, subcontractors and client representatives, you will play a key role in developing a strong safety culture, driving compliance, leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety performance are maintained across site operations.

What will I be doing?

• Leading all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across the project.
• Developing, promoting and maintaining a proactive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing and approving RAMS, risk assessments, lifting plans and safe systems of work.
• Ensuring full compliance with local statutory requirements, company procedures and client safety standards.
• Developing project specific EHS strategies, programmes and implementation plans.
• Supporting project leadership teams in delivering best-in-class safety performance.
• Managing and coordinating site EHS resources, advisors and subcontractors.
• Conducting site audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Monitoring leading and lagging safety indicators and preparing performance reports.
• Leading incident, accident and near miss investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.

What experience and skills do I need?

• 6+ experience on large scale construction /infrastructure projects.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (Diploma, Degree or equivalent).
• Experience leading site wide EHS programmes.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
