Job summary

• Support managers on environmental topics, including risk assessment and energy-saving initiatives.
• Communicate with authorities and certification bodies; act as consultation/response representative in environmental and energy matters.
• Coordinate training initiatives within environment and energy.
• Monitor external developments and legislation within the field.

Environment and Energy coordinator

You will be working in a team of six specialists within Health & Safety, Quality and Environment. You will have the overall responsibility for directing, developing, and monitoring the company’s work in environment and energy management, in line with statutory requirements, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and the requirements of the SKF Group.

The role serves as an advisor to factory management and provides operational support within the area of responsibility. You will have access to a global network of colleagues throughout the SKF world for support and knowledge sharing within your field.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the development, improvement and follow-up of the company’s environmental and energy management incl. compliance, energy mapping etc.
• Support managers on environmental and energy topics, including chemical management, risk assessment facilitation, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Communicate with and report to various authorities and certification bodies. Acts as the company’s consultation/response representative (remissansvarig) in environmental and energy matters.
• Coordinate training initiatives within environment and energy.
• Monitor external developments and legislation within the field.

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental and Energy Engineering or equivalent higher education providing comparable knowledge
• Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements within the field
• Experienced in communicating with authorities and other external stakeholders
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Experience in internal auditing of ISO 5001 and ISO 14001 is beneficial
