Job summary

Ericsson in Gothenburg (Lindholmen) seeks a Junior Power Designer to join the Radio Power Design team and help develop power solutions for Ericsson Radio products. You will work on DC/DC converter design, schematics, component selection and hands-on lab testing in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

The role requires a recent or soon-to-be Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, strong knowledge of power electronics, lab equipment familiarity, and fluent English.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics and DC/DC converter design.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, electronic loads and power supplies.
  • Fluent English in speech and writing.
  • Experience with SIMPLIS, LTspice or PSpice.
  • Knowledge of digital design, embedded systems or firmware development in C.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power solutions for Ericsson Radio products with experienced colleagues.
  • Work with DC/DC converter design, schematic design and component selection.
  • Use design and simulation tools to evaluate solutions before and during hardware development.
  • Perform design verification, troubleshooting and hands-on measurements in the laboratory.
  • Analyze results and propose improvements to product performance, quality and robustness.
  • Collaborate with radio, digital hardware, radio software, mechanical, thermal and verification teams.
  • Explore and learn to apply AI-assisted methods in power electronics design, verification, troubleshooting, data analysis and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to product maintenance and continuous improvement.
