Job summary

Avy is building the AI operating system for the property industry, with the Avy Agent OS powering thousands of cases. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the AI Platform team and scale AI capabilities for more agents and customers across the Nordics.

You will lead a 5–10 person engineering team, own the AI technical strategy, and contribute hands-on to the Go platform while shaping product and design collaboration for real customer value.

Qualifications

Lead the team that builds the AI behind largest Nordic Tenant Experience Platform

Avy is building the AI operating system for the property industry. The Avy Agent OS runs AI agents that do real operational work for the Nordics' largest property companies. They follow procedures, use tools and resolve cases from start to finish. Our first agent, Davy, handles customer support. At one customer, inbound email fell 70%, phone calls 50% and case volume 33%.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the AI Platform team that builds the Agent OS and to scale it to more agents and more customers.

The Avy Agent OS

The Agent OS is the shared foundation all our agents run on. It's a layered stack built on each customer's own property hierarchy, residents and contracts. We built the core in-house and use off-the-shelf components where they make sense. Today it runs Davy for tenants and administrators, and AI Insights for property owners. Next come agents for move-outs, repair follow-up and other high-volume processes.

What you'll do

• Lead and grow a team of 5–10 engineers working on Avy's core AI platform.
• Own the AI technical strategy for the team: agent orchestration, LLM integration, retrieval, evals, observability, and cost and latency trade-offs.
• Generate code yourself. You'll contribute hands-on to our Go platform, not only review PRs.
• Ship AI to production. Turn prototypes into reliable, measurable features used by hundreds of thousands of people.
• Partner with Product and Design to find where AI creates real value for tenants and landlords.
• Raise the bar. Improve how we build, test and ship so the team scales without slowing down.

What you bring

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 5+ in Go or Java
• 3+ years managing people, plus a track record of technical leadership
• Strong system design skills in cloud-native, integration-heavy architectures
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs: agents, tool use, RAG, prompt and eval pipelines, or similar
• You use AI tools in your own daily work, and you have opinions about them
• Clear communication with engineers, product and business stakeholders
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• The right to work in Sweden

Nice to have: an MSc or PhD in CS/ML, frontend experience (Flutter/Dart, React), Terraform, or experience in a matrixed scale-up.
