Job summary

IC Resources in Lund, Sweden is seeking an Engineering Director to guide the transition from R&D to scalable product development and manufacturing. This leader will provide technical direction across hardware, test, process, and product engineering while shaping the company’s future.

The role offers growth toward VP/CTO as the company expands, with collaboration to convert laboratory technology into commercial products and build a strong engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience taking complex hardware technologies from development through to production.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, industrialisation, DFM, DFT, and product qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across electronics, test and measurement, process development, and manufacturing.
• Drive the transition from prototype development to scalable product production.
• Define engineering strategy, development roadmaps, and product release plans.
• Establish DFM, DFT, quality, and manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with research teams to convert laboratory technology into commercial products.
• Build and develop engineering teams as the company grows.
• Provide technical leadership and executive-level input to company strategy.

Engineering Director required for an early-stage deep-tech company developing next-generation precision sensing technology based on advanced materials and semiconductor processes. This Engineering Director role will lead the transition from an R&D-focused environment into a scalable product development and manufacturing organisation. The Engineering Director will provide technical leadership across hardware, test, process, and product engineering activities while helping shape the future direction of the business.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Knowledge of manufacturing, industrialisation, DFM, DFT, and product qualification
• Ability to operate both strategically and technically within a growing company
