Job summary

Scania is seeking a skilled Calibration and Optimization Engineer to develop engine calibration strategies for optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions across heavy-duty diesel platforms.

You will join the VCT, planning and prioritizing development tasks, shaping roadmaps, and driving agile improvements while collaborating with software, hardware, and test teams to deliver robust calibration solutions globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in calibration, ideally within heavy‑duty diesel engines.
• Hands-on with engine test benches, fuel management, torque control and emissions.
• Ability to collaborate with software, hardware and testing teams; cross‑functional.

Responsibilities

• Develop ECU calibration to optimize performance, fuel efficiency and emissions.
• Experience with engine management software and calibration parameters.
• Hands-on with engine test bench/dyno, data acquisition, validation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and testing teams to achieve full system view.
• Prepare technical reports showing progress and results.
• Own technical challenges and drive initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Contribute to technical decisions, roadmaps and long-term calibration strategies.
• Drive continuous improvements in processes, methods and agile ways of working within the VCT.
