Job summary

Biotage in Sweden seeks an Embedded Systems and Software Engineer with a couple of years of hands-on experience in low-level C firmware, scripting, and mechatronics to join a cross-disciplinary team working between high-level application software and mechanical/electronic systems.

You will contribute to system design, maintain existing products, develop control algorithms, and help improve our agile processes with Azure DevOps, while sharing expertise to raise technical quality.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with bare-metal C programming for embedded systems.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python.
• Ability to understand circuit diagrams and interpret technical datasheets.
• Knowledge of signal processing and communication protocols, such as Ethernet, CAN, SPI, RS232, and I2C.
• Knowledge of and interest in higher-level software development using Java or C# is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the system design of new products
• Maintain and develop functionality of existing products
• Develop algorithms to control pressure, temperature, positioning, and other system parameters
• Develop software that controls various components, including stepper motors, dc motors, valves and more
• Communicate protocol development and maintenance
• Debug and troubleshoot electronic hardware and embedded systems.
• Contribute to and continuously improve our agile development process using Azure DevOps.
• Continuously expand your knowledge and share your expertise with the team.
