Job summary

Teledyne FLIR, located in Täby, Stockholm, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain software for embedded systems in our thermal imaging products. You will work on Linux/Android platforms, contribute to a web-based configuration platform, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver robust, customer-focused features.

The role requires several years of embedded software experience, strong C++17+ skills, and proficiency in English and Swedish.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience developing software for embedded systems.
• Experience with C++17 or later.
• Experience with Embedded Linux or Embedded Android.
• Experience with web-based interfaces or Rust (preferred).
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and open-source software (preferred).
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field (preferred).
• Swedish language skills.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Translate user and business needs into technical solutions in collaboration with product management, service, system and the other development teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain software for Embedded Linux or Android devices.
• Build robust and maintainable embedded applications primarily in C++, but also in Rust.
• Contribute to development and evolution of a web-based platform for camera configuration, control, diagnostics and service.
• Support team growth through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
