Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, through Teledyne FLIR, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for our Täby, Stockholm site. You will join a cross-functional team crafting advanced thermal cameras and infrared modules with real-world impact.

You will develop software for embedded platforms, primarily in C++ (C++17+), with opportunities to work in Rust and web-based configuration tools. English proficiency required; Swedish language skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience developing software for embedded systems.
• Experience with Embedded Linux or Embedded Android development.
• Experience with web-based interfaces or Rust development (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Translate user and business needs into technical solutions in collaboration with product management, service, system and the other development teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain software for our Embedded Linux or Android devices
• Build robust and maintainable embedded applications primarily in C++, but also in Rust
• Contribute to development and evolution of a web-based platform for camera configuration, control, diagnostics and service.
• Support team growth through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

To strengthen our Embedded Applications team, we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who wants to help shape the next generation of intelligent imaging products. You will join a skilled and collaborative cross-functional team, where your work will help evolve our software platforms and deliver robust, innovative features that create real customer value.

What You'll Do

What You Need

• Several years of experience developing software for embedded systems
• Good experience working with C++ standards (C++17 or later)
• Experience with Embedded Linux or Embedded Android development
• Experience with web-based interfaces or Rust development (preferred)
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and open-source software (preferred)
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (preferred)
• Swedish language skills
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
