Job summary

Telescope Services AB in Lund, Sweden, is seeking a senior embedded software engineer with a cross-functional mindset and a passion for IoT products. You will own the design and implementation of embedded software for constrained devices, working across software and hardware with strong debugging and integration skills.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in embedded software for IoT products.
• Hands-on with CoAP, MQTT, REST and/or V2X.
• C++ on RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) with constrained devices.
• Bluetooth/BLE, NB-IoT or LTE-M experience is a plus.
• JTAG-based integration and debugging of subsystems.

Job description

Essential skills and experience:

• Master/Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably within IoT products
• Hands on experience within embedded IoT networking protocols such as CoAP/MQTT/REST and/or V2X (DSRC or/and c-V2X)
• Experience of:
• C++ programming using RTOS (e.g Free RTOS) systems
• developing efficient code for systems with constrained systems e.g. small memory footprint, low power requirements etc.
• integration and debugging (JTAG or similar) of sub-systems and peripherals
• Hands on experience with Bluetooth/BLE, NB-IoT or LTE-M or other cellular technology is a strong plus
• Leveraging DevSecOps practices and techniques to ensure fast and quality assured content. This includes threat modeling, automated security testing, CI/CD, communication and collaboration.
