Job summary
Sigma Industry Evolution in Lund, Sweden is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to migrate C++ functionality to C# and to develop automated tests within an established product environment.
You will analyze existing C++ code, ensure functional equivalence, verify on product units, and collaborate with verification teams and system engineers. Experience with embedded systems or regulated environments is a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with C# development.
- Good knowledge of C++ and understanding of existing C++ codebases.
- Experience migrating or translating functionality between programming languages.
- Experience developing automated tests.
- Experience working with legacy software and established product platforms.
- Experience with software verification, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for analysis, implementation and verification.
- Experience in embedded systems or regulated environments is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyse existing C++ source code.
- Understand dependencies and purpose of legacy software components.
- Design and implement functionality in C#.
- Ensure functional equivalence between old and new solutions.
- Verify functionality on existing product units.
- Develop automated tests based on established protocols.
- Analyse test results and investigate deviations.
- Troubleshoot software and system-level issues.
- Document implementations, test coverage and verification results.
- Collaborate with developers, system engineers and verification teams.
