NKT is seeking a Fiber Optic Project Engineer to take full technical ownership of fiber optic systems in HVDC and transmission projects. Job Overview

Join NKT as a Fiber Optic Project Engineer and take full technical ownership of fiber optic systems in large HVDC and transmission projects. In this role you manage the fiber optic scope from concept and design through implementation, installation support, and final handover. You act as the technical authority for fiber optics, ensuring reliable, high‑quality solutions throughout the project lifecycle and collaborating closely with engineering, production, installation, and procurement teams across Karlskrona, Cologne, and Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the fiber optic scope across all relevant project phases.
• Ensure alignment between design, production, testing, and installation.
• Manage fiber optic system solutions throughout assigned projects.
• Provide guidance and support to other engineers within fiber optics.
• Contribute to the execution of fiber optic systems across the full project lifecycle, ensuring solutions meet technical specifications, project timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Support documentation, installation preparation, and quality‑related activities, contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

The role is primarily based in Karlskrona, but offers a hybrid setup with an initial base from the Malmö/Lund area. Limited travel may be required for testing, meetings, or site activities.
