You will ensure robust product design and drive hardware through the entire lifecycle, from development and industrialization to series production and ongoing lifecycle management.

You will coordinate technical topics across customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, leading hardware development from concept to series production. The role involves close collaboration with software component owners, system architects, and specialists in functional safety, cybersecurity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Own hardware design, technical requirements, and lifecycle management of electronic control units (ECUs).
  • Lead hardware development and industrialization from concept and supplier selection to validated series production.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, technical requirements, and development processes.
  • Identify and resolve hardware challenges related to EMC, electrical loads, interfaces, and circuit board connections.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and system architects to ensure effective interfaces, system integration, and ECU network topology.
  • Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Several years of experience in electronics hardware development, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience taking electronic control units from development through industrialization to series production.
