Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Lead to oversee all electrical activities on a major project. You will manage site operations, coordinate with planners, subcontractors and design teams, and drive QA/QC and safety initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Building Services engineering and 7+ years of leadership experience on large-scale construction, preferably data centre projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of electrical construction site leadership experience.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale projects.
• Strong coordination and scheduling skills.
• Experience with data centre or mission-critical projects is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage all electrical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day electrical site operations with the wider project team.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained per project specs and industry standards.
• Coordinate project schedules and construction activities with planners, PMs, subcontractors, consultants and design teams.
• Manage electrical subcontractor performance, including progress monitoring and meetings.
• Ensure subcontractor documentation, including health and safety, is up to date.
• Chair and attend site meetings, engineering reviews and handover meetings.
• Liaise with design teams to ensure construction information is aligned with programme requirements.
• Review electrical drawings and specifications for effective coordination of systems.
• Drive health and safety standards across all electrical activities.
• Support commercial management through tracking variations and cost control.
• Prepare regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee electrical snagging and close-out of defects.
• Identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues to minimise delays.
• Ensure electrical works comply with project specs, programmes and quality.

Description du poste

• Week 1: Early morning flight to arrive on site by noon Monday. (Monday 12pm - 4pm & Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 4pm)
• Week 2: Monday to Saturday (7am - 4pm)
• Week 3: Monday to Wednesday (Monday - Tuesday 7am - 4pm & Wednesday 7am - 11:30am). Travel home Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all electrical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day electrical site operations, working closely with the wider project team.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented, monitored and maintained in accordance with project specifications and relevant industry standards.
• Coordinate project schedules and construction activities with planners, project managers, subcontractors, consultants and design teams.
• Manage electrical subcontractor performance, including progress monitoring, manpower planning and regular coordination meetings.
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including health and safety documentation, is maintained, reviewed and kept up to date.
• Chair and attend site meetings, engineering reviews, planning meetings and handover meetings.
• Liaise with design teams to ensure construction information, technical submissions and design deliverables are aligned with programme requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, technical submittals and specifications, ensuring effective coordination of electrical systems and installations.
• Drive high standards of health and safety, promoting a strong safety culture across all electrical construction activities.
• Support commercial management through the tracking of variations, cost control and participation in weekly commercial meetings.
• Prepare and issue regular progress reports and project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Oversee electrical snagging activities, ensuring defects are identified, managed and closed out within agreed timescales.
• Proactively identify, manage and resolve technical, design and coordination issues to minimise delays and maintain project progress.
• Ensure all electrical works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, construction programmes and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience within the electrical construction industry, with a strong background in site leadership and management.
• Proven experience managing electrical installation works and systems on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical coordination, construction sequencing and programme delivery.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation methodologies and commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to manage electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver complex construction projects.
• Previous experience working on data centre, industrial or other mission‑critical construction projects is advantageous.
