Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to support the coordination and delivery of electrical works on a data centre project. You will review drawings, support QA/QC, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure on-time progress and quality.

You will also help manage documentation, attend meetings, track RFIs, and assist in snagging and close-out activities. A 3+ year background in electrical construction is expected, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience within the electrical construction sector.
  • Experience with power distribution, lighting, and associated services.
  • Strong understanding of drawings, specs, and site practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and delivery of electrical works across the data centre project lifecycle.
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
  • Assist with site QA/QC processes and ensure works meet standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and project team on daily electrical site activities.
  • Monitor site progress and report programme status to senior engineers and management.
  • Maintain electrical documentation including submittals and safety docs.
  • Attend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, and Planning Meetings.
  • Liaise with design team to request and track RFIs.
  • Assist with installation checks, inspections, and verification of electrical systems on site.
  • Support commercial management by tracking variations and progress claims.
  • Identify and assist in resolving technical/design/coordination issues; assist with snagging close-out.

Working hours: 55 hours per week Monday-Saturday
Rotation: 17/4
Requirements
  • Support the coordination and delivery of Electrical works across the data centre project lifecycle
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and the wider project team on daily electrical site activities
  • Monitor site progress and report on programme status to senior engineers and management
  • Ensure all electrical documentation, including technical submittals and safety documentation, is maintained and up to date
  • Attend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, and Planning Meetings

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience within the electrical construction sector
  • Experience working on electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, and associated services
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site practices
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and coordinate with subcontractors
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation methodologies
  • Experience in data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous
