Job summary

Swedbank is seeking a data science professional to strengthen its Economic Crime Prevention models and detection capabilities. Qualifications

• 3+ years of data science experience in economic crime prevention or related field.
• Experience in AML, Fraud, KYC, sanctions, and automated screening/monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling.
• Proficiency in programming within analytic frameworks (R/Python) and SQL, Power BI, Qlik Sense, SAS or VBA.
• Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English.

• Explore risks and translate intelligence into recurring controls to improve risk coverage in the bank's control environment.
• Test, develop, analyse and maintain models within Swedbank's automated monitoring framework for economic crime prevention.
• Work closely with Financial Crime Risk and Advanced Analytics in a highly skilled team of risk analysts, data analysts, and data scientists.

What is needed in this role:

• Self-leadership and the ability to drive change.
• Experience within the field of AML, Fraud, KYC, Sanctions and automated screening/monitoring.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
• Advanced statistical analysis and mathematical modelling capabilities.
• Experience programming within analytical frameworks (e.g., R and Python) and using SQL, Power BI, Qlik Sense, SAS, and/or VBA.
• Good understanding of the bank, products, inherent risk, vulnerabilities, threats and potential risk mitigating actions.
• Proficient in oral and written Swedish as well as English.

• 3 years experience of working with data science within the field of economic crime prevention.
