Job summary

Agoda is seeking a Director of Product – Tax Platform to lead a team of senior product managers and own Agoda's indirect tax platform worldwide. You will define the product strategy to adapt to global tax regulations and drive multi-year transformation across brands within Booking Holdings.

You will partner with Group Tax and engineering leaders to shape architecture, prioritize investments, and deliver compliant, scalable tax solutions in a fast-growing travel marketplace.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management or similar roles with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record building or transforming in-house tax platforms at large-scale digital businesses in regulated environments
• Deep command of indirect tax for digital businesses (VAT/GST, marketplace regimes) and how these translate into system requirements
• Hands-on experience across tax platform stack: master data, rules configuration, tax determination, invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting controls
• Ability to break down multi-year problems into clear milestones and manage risk
• Excellent English communication to engage senior stakeholders and drive alignment

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Agoda’s global tax platform
• Partner with Group Tax to translate regulatory requirements into product outcomes
• Lead multi-year transformation initiatives for a platform supporting multiple products and brands
• Make buy-vs-build decisions for tax engines and e-invoicing providers and plan integration strategy
• Collaborate with engineering to shape architecture and prioritise technical investments
• Design governance for tax configuration and change management
• Drive progress reporting to senior leadership
