Job summary

Nordnet AB in Stockholm is seeking a Data Scientist to join the AIR (AI & Research) function, embedded within the AI Platform team. Your mission is to enable the organization with best-in-class AI capabilities and to build production-grade pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.

You will work with platform engineers through the full lifecycle—from experimentation to deployment—focusing on governance, metrics, and robust AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer or AI Engineer.
• University degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering or similar.
• Experience with production AI pipelines and governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production AI pipelines from experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineers throughout the development cycle on architecture and implementation.
• Drive quality through evaluation, metrics, and testing of AI solutions.
• Champion AI Governance to ensure regulatory compliance and risk clarity.

We're searching for a Data Scientist to join Nordnet's AIR (AI & Research) function, working embedded within the AI Platform team. Your mission: Enable the rest of the organisation with the best possible AI capabilities.

The Setup

You’ll be working alongside platform engineers to tackle the full lifecycle—from exploring possibilities to deploying production features. Our technical foundation is Google Cloud Platform, where we've deployed internal and customer facing GenAI features. Now we're scaling what works and developing new capabilities.

This is not a theoretical role; you're a builder and problem-solver who thrives on iteration. You'll report to our Data Science Manager while working daily with the AI platform team.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain production AI pipelines from experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineers throughout the development cycle—you'll work together on architecture and implementation in an iterative fashion.
• Drive quality through evaluation, metrics, and testing of AI solutions.
• Champion AI Governance - Ensure compliance with the bank's regulatory framework by clarifying AI concepts and risks

This is you

You take pride in your work and are driven by curiosity—you want to continuously learn and grow.

You likely have:

• Experience with LLMs, GenAI and agentic AI
• Python skills for both exploration and production code.
• SQL proficiency for data analysis and pipeline building.
• Knowledge of ML/AI evaluation, metrics, and best practices.
• Experience with ML/AI in cloud environments (GCP experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of MLOps
• Experience with IaC (terraform).

We also get excited if you have:

• Experience working embedded.
• Experience with Go and/or Java.
• Comfort presenting technical work to diverse audiences.

We think that you have 3+ years experience working as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer or AI Engineer with a University degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering or similar field.
